Five Four and a Quarter

Questions, confessions, experiences, and inspirations of a twenty-something-year-old

About February 20, 2011

Hi! I could go on for pages about the laughter, tears, happiness, and sorrows that I have experienced and that each make up  a part of the young woman I have become. I’ll save you the strain on your eyes, though…for now, at least. And anyway, all these bits and pieces of me will show up in each of my posts. So, here’s the abbreviated version:

My name is Arianna Boloitn. In 2011 I  graduated from Champlain College  in Burlington, Vermont with a B.S. in Public Relations and a concentration in Marketing. After spending a final summer along the shores of Lake Champlain, I moved to Boston in pursuit of a career, new excitement, and an adventure. So far, so good! I landed a job at SapientNitro, an awesome marketing agency, a mere month after moving. Boston is great and life is beautiful.

So, about this blog: You’re probably thinking, “What the heck is five four and a quarter supposed to mean?” It’s how tall I am! I usually get laughed at when I describe my height down to the tiny quarter-inch fraction, but I don’t think I’ve ever portrayed myself as simply being five feet four inches. My height is a big part of my identity and I’m surprisingly proud of the last quarter of an inch!

I started this blog for me more than for anyone else. It was my senior year of college and I always had so much on my mind about life and my future, so I needed a clear and concise way to keep track of all the ramblings going on in my head. Plus, I was tired of having the same conversations with my parents and grandparents/relatives, so I figured if I write things down, people could just read it for themselves! Now, four years later, I still try to make time in this crazy and busy life to find my sanity and write.

Happy reading!
